I have read about this story but can't recall the source, so it must be 'out there' somewhere. I am researching a Joseph and Elizabeth Smith from Bibb county but have very little information. I don't know of any connection to yours, but then, I don't know anything about thier antecendents. They owuld have been contemporary with your Turner.
