My great-great grandfather was Richard Bassett whose second wife was Rachel Barefoot. He lived in Bibb County Ga. and moved to Marianna, (Jackson County) Florida where he married Rachel. I think Rachel's family may have lived in Bibb County also but cannot be certain.
If this corresponds with the people you are researching I would sure like to hear from you. I have a good bit of information.
