Linda, the followin is from,"Brooks County Georgia, Echoes of Its People", pg 340. It may be of help..."Edward Clements Wade (b. August 25, 1830, Oxford, Newton County, Georgia: d. April 15, 1911, Los Angeles, Cal.) Married Sarah Elizabeth Erwin, (b. April2, 1832, Barnwell District, S.C.;d. May 17, 1879, Quitman, Ga.) Sarah was the niece of his uncle Payton L. Wade Jr.'s second wife, (Elizabeth Robert Wade), and great niece of his uncle's first wife, (Sarah Maner Crawford Wade), He spent his childhood as the adopted son of Rev. and Mrs. Payton Lisby Wade Jr., his uncle and aunt. He is buried in Laurel Grove Cemetery, Savannah, Ga." The above is para. 7 of a longer article about Jesse Perkins Wade,(1794-1872). Ed King
