I am needing a obituary for Rupert A. GREEN, age 87, who was a resident of Barwick, Brooks County, GA. at the time of his death on May 24, 1993. An Ancestry.com database, "Georgia Deaths, 1919-1998," indicates that he actually died in Thomas County and lists a certificate # 020723. The Social Security Death Index suggests that he received his number while in the state of Missouri.
I am trying to determine if this is my grandfather's first cousin who was born in Audrain or Callaway County, MO. between 1906-1907. I need to know if the obituary lists his parents, siblings, a wife or children. Are there any living relatives listed?
How would I obtain a copy of the death certificate...from the state of Georgia, county of death...or residence?
