Thank you but by 1870, Benjamin and his wife are dead...I believe in the 1857 fever epidemic. My direct line, Malachi along with brother Hezachi moved to Charlton County, Georgia,got married, and moved to Nassau County, Florida. I believe there was a Benjamin, Jr. who was already married by the time the 1850 census was taken. He died in the Civil War. His widow/children moves to Nassau County, Florida too...she remarries. I don't have the names of any other children of Benjamin, Sr. or his parents or wife's name. I believe Benjamin's father may have been a James who was in the Revoluntionary War...another reseacher gave me that inform. It is not the estabished DAR patriot Col. James Thompson, SC...I have been that route. That patriot did buy land in Bryan County. I think I may drive there and go over that 1850 cenusus and the library to see if I can find anything.
