Odingsell Witherspoon HART (b. 9 Dec 1803 Orangeburg Dist., SC, d. 17 Jul 1874 Brooks Co., GA) he married (2ndly) Sarah Eliza WILSON in 1838. They were connected with the Midway, Liberty, GA community. He had a plantation in Bryan County just across the river. His plantation was ransacked during Sherman's March, and following the War he and his daughters moved to Quitman, Brooks, GA, where O.W. died at the respectable age of 70.
I found the copies of these 4 Bible pages at the University of Georgia Library's Special Collections Division. I contacted the cousin who had donated them and he gave his permission for me to post their contents on the forum.
I have tried to render the entries as they were written, those with an asterisk (**) appear to me to be written by someone other than O.W. Hart, presumably his daughter Emily Odingsell Hart Davis, who inheirited the Bible. Each page has two columns of entries.

I hope this helps other HART cousins in their search! I would appreciate learning more information on O.W.'s life if anyone knows anything. He was said to have represented his county (Bryan, I would think) in the state senate, but have not found any evidence of that, yet. I also do not know where he was buried.
