I am trying to find out some information on Camp Davis near Guyton. My gggrandfather, Emanuel Hellmuth, from Bulloch County signed up at a Camp Davis during the Civil War. He signed up in March, 1862 and was killed on June 10, 1862 after only serving 3 months. Does anyone know if there were any pictures of soldiers taken there at that time? I would also love to receive any information about any of the soldiers serving during that time - maybe letters written about the camp, life, preparation for war, etc. ANY INFORMATION WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!
