"Henry Davis, Jr., a respectable man of Bullock county, Georgia, was bitten on the leg by a large rattle snake. He tied his suspenders around his wounded limb, killed the snake, and endeavored to walk home, but was compelled to lie down by the way, and in a few hours died of the horrible poison".
