I am searching for information on the Moore family in Bulloch County, Georgia. My brick wall is named John B. Moore. John married Margaret Hodges [born June 1830] in Screven County, Georgia. I found wife Margaret in the 1880 US Fed Census in Savannah. Her sons live with her/are nearby. Her sons are John B. [b. 1856, Screven Co?, GA] , James Arthur [b. 1854 Screven Co ? GA], Calvin [b.1860], and William J. [b. 1862 GA]. Daughter Martha [aka Mattie] was born Oct 1858 in florida. Most of the sons worked for the Coastal Railroad out of Savannah. I have their family lines forward.
However, their father John B. is an unknown, other than possibly being born in GA or NC. One distant relative stated that John B. was a descendent of 12 brothers who came over from Ireland. I found a tree posted online that mentioned these 12 brothers, some of which settled in Bulloch County. However, there was no author listed.
I found John B's information through the death records of his children. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
