Hello All:
I'm interested in James Mixon shown in the 1900 Census for Bulloch County Georgia. My best guess for his middle initial is the letter "H." But his wife's name is even more difficult. Her name may be "Millian" or in the 1910 Census her name looks like "Milbra." It appears she's James Mixon's second wife and the two youngest children in the household are hers while the older children are from James' first marriage. But I've not found any recorded marriages for James Mixon.
There's a Death Certificate on Georgia's Virtual Vault for a 74 year old " Mebbail " Mixon that died on 27 Aug 1923 in Candler county and she was the wife of James Mixon. The lady's father's was John Collins and her mother's maiden name was given as Janie Bonir. The informant was Mrs. Jiney Turner.
Here's James Mixon in the 1900 Census and his daughter, Mrs. Eugenia ( Mixon ) Donaldson is living next door.
