I recently obtained the Indian Wars Pension Application file for David G. Farmer, born in GA, died in FL. Transcription follows. Looking for family info - parents, siblings, etc... -David G. Farmer -Born in GA -Indian Wars widow’s pension claim number 3415 dated 21Jan1893 -Pvt. Calhoun’s Co. Ga. Vols. (Florida War) -Wife/Widow: Evaline/ Eveline Farmer (listed as 77 years old on app dated 03 Jan 1893) -P.O. Address: DeFuniak Springs, Walton County, Florida -David G. Farmer was discharged on the Flint River in 1836 -Eveline Farmer’s name was Eveline Gary before marriage to David G. Farmer. She was previously married to ? Gary in Virginia -David and Eveline were married near Quincy in Gadsden County, FL on or about 1 November 1846 at the house of Mary R Cain by a Rev. Arnow -David died at Alaqua, Walton County, Florida in Feb.1869 -Affidavit states David drew land warrant for his Indian Wars service in Gadsden County, Florida -David G Farmer enrolled in service 9 June 1836 at Columbus, GA and was discharged 2 Sep 1836 at Columbus, GA -Evaline’s first husband ? Gary died in VA in 1842 -According to the 1860 Walton County census David was 44 years old, making his birth year 1816. Notify Administrator about this message?
