I am searching for any information on my gggrategrandfather, Davis Vance born I belive in North or South Carolina in abt. 1776. Married Phebe Peavy and had three son before moving to Tuscaloosa AL in 1807. Everone hits a brick wall in GA. There is a Davis Vance on the 1790-1793 tax-defaulters listed in the Auguata Chronicle.
