I have info on the following: Col. James Grubbs (m. Mary Ann Boyd 1844)He was a planter and legislator from Bark Camp/Summertown districts; Deacon at Bark Camp Church. Mary Ann a daughter of Stephen Boyt/Boyd (s/o Abraham Boyt/Boyd) grandaughter of Jonathan Lewis, planter and legislator. Jonathan died on duty in state senate 1834. Jonathan was oldest son of Rev. Josiah Lewis, Revolutionary soldier/chaplain and first full- time minister of present day 1st Presbyterian Church, Waynesboro.

I am a descendant of all of the above. Looking for others. (We appear to be scarce!) Please contact me.

Most likely descendents would be through Jonathan's sons, Henry and Josiah Lewis or from Jonathan's daughter, Martha Lewis Boyd Thomas. Her children: Abraham Lewis Boyd m. Anna Owen, Jonathan Rees Boyd (aka John R. Boyd) m. Martha Virginia Scott daughter of John Scott, Sarah A. Boyd m. ??, Mary Ann Boyd m. James Grubbs.

Henry Lewis' daughter, Deborah Rebecca m. John T. Stone. Daughter Sarah Moselle m. James A. McGruder of Midville area.

THANK YOU!
