Need information about wives of John Black, Sr, (b. c 1776, d. 1826 in Screven County, Georgia). He was son of William W. Black and Elizabeth Tomberlin. He married #1, Anna Davis in Jefferson ? or Burke ? County, Georgia ca. 1796. They had six children.

He married ca. 1818, #2 Mary Davis and they had three children. Were these two wives sisters? William Black, Sr. deeded land to his son, John Black, 1 Nov 1800, "To my son John Black in Jefferson County land of said William's in that county".

23 Dec 1809, John Black purchased two tracts of land in Screven County from Hillery Cason and his wife, Mary.

In 1811, John Black is living in Screven County on land next to his father. He is listed as Justice of the Peace on records in Screven County in 1812 and listed as a witness on other records there in 1816. He died in 1826 in Screven County.

If any Davis family researcher could help, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you.
