Seeing "Ford and Allen families" really caught my attention. My grandfather was Calep Milton Ford (James Perry, Isaac Manley, William Z., Manley, William). This family of Fords came from around Amelia Co., VA to Spartanburg SC., to Cherokee Co., GA finally to Benton/Calhoun Co., AL

My grandmother was Lula "Lou" Ellen Allen (Columbus H., Hiram, West, Robert III, Robert II, Robert I, Richard Allen/Alleyn). These Allens came out of England to VA to NC, SC, GA and finally my branch to Talladega/Calhoun Co., AL.

On the Ford line, we found out from DNA tests, that we are related to some other Fords in Amelia,Henrico and Goochland Co., VA. Soem of the names are Culverine, Christopher, Hezekiah Ford. At this time, we don't know who the common ancestor was, we have some ideas, but no absolute proof as of yet.

Boy, will it be something if my grandparents were related to each other. My grandmother was already distant cousin or mine!
