Mr. Jarrell, I have checked the Butts County History published in 1978, but references to persons living in the dates you mention are scarce. There were two men listed in the first list of Butts County taxes - 1828, William and Willis. Willis served as a justice of the inferior court in 1829 through 1933. As such he is mentioned several times acting in his capacity as a judge. There is another Willis Jarrell, a minister, listed as serving in the county in 1851. No other mention is made of William, as records of that time are limited to surviving tax records, etc. There are two people of the name Jarrell living in Jackson, GA today. I cannot tell if they are related to the Jarrells you are tracing. Their grandfather was Dr. J. A. Jarrell who is listed in the History first as practicing in Jackson in 1909. They are not in our phone book and I don't know their mailing address, but will contact them and get you an address through which to contact them. They don't have Email. Hope this helps.
