I am having extreme difficulty in researching the BRAZEL Familly, due to the variations of spellings, and there is no BRAZEL-L Mailing List. I have seen the named spelled: BRAZEL, BRAZZEL, BRASSEL, BRAZLE, BRAZIL, BRASWELL, BRAZWELL, BRACEWELL, etc... and I've been told the name originated in Ireland as "O'BREASLE". The limited BRAZEL Family I have so far is: William (middle name Luther??) Brazel, b. 08-23-1863 - d. 02-07-1944, spouse Ida ? their son: Ben. B. Brazel, b. 08-10-1891 (or 1895) - d. 09-22-1962, spouse Sarah Elizabeth (Lizzie) Yelverton, (The Yelverton family line is very well researched.). Ben & Sarah Elizabeth's children: Kenneth, married Mildred (?) Benjamin, married Eunice Shattles W. B. (that was his actual, name just initials) b. 1920 - d. 1987, never married Walter James, b. 1921 - d. 1982, married Eugenia (?) Raz Warren, b. 1923- d. 1979, married Janet Nichols Charles L., married Rebecca Conley Geraldine, married Eugene Kearce The family moved around a lot it seems, from Calhoun, Randolph, Marion, and Stewart Counties in GA, Holmes County, FL, Coffee County Alabama, etc... Most of these listed seemed to return to settle and live out the rest of their lives in Calhoun, Randolph, and Terrell Counties in Georgia. Regards, Gary garluke@juno.com Gary W. & Christie J.
