am looking for information about William Davis who is found on the 1850 Campbell County Georgia Census. The family is as follows:
Wm Davis 50
Malinda M. 54
Mary J. 18
Louisa A. 14
Malinda M. 11
Sarah E. 7
Jas. A. 5
George W. 1
Rebecca F. 16
I am trying to find a Malinda M. Davis that married David Ganus in Fayette Co., GA in March 1857. I have her CW Pension application that indicates that her maiden name was Davis and the Malinda in the family above is about the right age. Malinda never could quite make up her mind how old she was and really varied on the census year to year. Malinda's husband, David died in the Civil War and she lived in Campbell, Clayton and Whitfield Counties during the remainder of her life.
I would love to correspond with anyone that might know anything about "a" Malinda M. Davis in Campbell or Fayette Counties, and/or anyone that has any connection or knowledge of the above family.
