Thanks so much for the information. It does seem that John Andress is the father of the three Daniel, Nathaniel and David.
I found Daniel A. Andress in Cherokee Co TX in 1880 near his daughter, Adeline Alceller Andress Ross but his wife Nancy is deceased by this time. Could not find Daniel and Nancy Andress on the 1870 U.S. Federal Census nor could I find Daniel Andress after 1880.
Adeline Ross is supposed to have Indian ancestry of Chickasaw or Cherokee but have not found any mention except in family tradition.
