Francis Marion RICHARDS b. 1803 in Tennessee
Angeline Mahala HALE b. 1085 in Tennessee
(We have only one reference to Angeline's last name that is in a family letter.)
The family is first found in Carroll County GA. in the mid to late 1820's near Villa Rica. They had 13 children and at least 10 are known to have been born in Carroll County. They were: Arminda Amanda, William Milburn, Elizabeth A., Susan Idelia, John W., Eliza Jane, James C., Emily M., Francis Marion Junior, King Henry, Amanda V., Joseph Denman, and Andrew Jackson.
There are other RICHARDS families in Carroll County during the same time period but there is no known connections. Several of the children of these families have the same or very similar names which can be a real research nightmare.
