In the info I have on Cheaves/Cheeves family of Carrollton, GA - Allison Cheeves married 3x. 1st to Lucy (Unk) abt 1838 (ch: Sarah, Jessie, Wm & Martha); 2nd to Emily Awtrey 23 Feb 1858 (ch: Jacob Ernest, Merrell A.); and lastly to Mahala H. (Unk) abt 1865 (ch: Mary E, Lulu, John A, Daniel C., Dora E., and Ada E.) Have you done any research on Emily Jerusha Awtrey's father Jacob Awtrey? I would like to obtain a copy of his will from Carroll, GA. I am interested in whatever happened to Jacob's second wife who was his first wife's widowed sister. Her husband and sister died relatively close and Jacob and second wife married in December 1856 in Alabama. Jacob died just 3 years later in Carroll, GA and is buried with his first wife in Villa Rica, GA Any help would be appreciated.
