I need ANY info on Col. STEPHEN (STEELE) WHITE. Some info I was given says he was born abt. 1763 maybe SC and died 1858 age 90(?) in Carroll Co. Ga. and is buried there. He was an Indian fighter and married(?) a Choctaw woman named SOCKO. They had several children. A daughter Nancy Austin Socko White married Lucius Laurance Joiner. Two sons were Charles and James. There are more. Some of the family moved to Ark. and Texas.
