Scott,
Just found your message. The intersection you asked about has undergone a number of changes in the years that I can remember it. West Broad Street was renamed Martin Luther King Boulevard. It runs north to south. Bryan Street, which at this intersection is West Bryan Street, runs east to west. Starting with the northwest corner and going clockwise these are what occupy the four corner lots: a multi-story hotel (built in the last year); an office building; a parking lot; and a vacant lot on which was formerly located The Motor Supply Company. This business was next door to the famous Scarborough House. To see the intersection on Google Earth, locate Lat. 32° 4'53.96"N, 81° 5'48.88"W.
