Dear Stephanie:

I would suggest that you contact the Georgia Historical Society, Whitaker Street, Savannah, GA. They have a website. When I contacted the Chatham County Court House about a possible divorce case in circa 1850 they told me that their antique divorce cases were filed at The Georgia Historical Society. Sure enough I was able to obtain a copy of the divorce record that I had been searching and it was at The Georgia Historical Society. You may wish to contact the Chatham County Court House also. I think that it would be the Superior Court; but if not that Court they could transfer you to the appropriate Court that you would need. The Georgia Historical Society is a marvelous source of Georgia History and Georgia records.Good luck.

Sincerely,

Carole Melson.
