Carole,
I've lived on Wilmington most of my life. The Barnard Plantation was located on the southern end of Wilmington Island, mostly along the Wilmington River, but as far as I know the location of the original vault has been lost. In January of 1861 John Barnard moved the remains in the vault to Laurel Grove Cemetery and had them reburied in a lot there. What became of the vault on Wilmington Island I don't actually know, but given that the location of the plantation has been fully developed with homes, it probably is destroyed by now.
