Dear Robert:

I am glad that I saw your email about the putting online of older burial information regarding Laurel Grove Cemetery. I have many members of my family buried in Laurel Grove and I would be very interested in being able to access older burial information online. Could you do me a favor? When you hear that it has been put online could you send me an email? I do not get to Savannah very often -just a couple times a year. I agree with you that it is a shame that no more books have been published in the recent past about older burials in Laurel Grove. I have tried in the past to obtain a copy of the WPA Writer's Project Books on Laurel Grove Cemetery through the Inter-Library Loan; but my library said that they could not do it because it was a research material. There is a wide gap in available burial information in Laurel Grove Cemetery since the Great Depression took place and the WPA Records were compiled!
I am glad to hear that their records may be put online soon. Thanks for putting this information on GenForum.

Sincerely,
Carole Melson.
