Hello again, Bonnie, I used the 1870 Census information and the familysearch information as well to try my best to make a connection with this Payne family. It is no go. I know for a fact that Savannah was 18 when she married and Anderson was 20. If the Savannah in the 1870 census was the right one, she would have had to marry Anderson at the age of 12-13.

I was unable to find any of this Payne family and Savannah Payne on the 1860 Census. I did find Bennett and Matilda on the 1850 Census with their daughter, Francis, age one. As much as I would like it to work, it doesn't. I did want to thank you again for your effort.

Sincerely, Lila
