I need an obit, tombstone, will, and/or probate lookup on an Isaac Newton who died between 1809 and 1820 in Clarke Co.
I am really just looking for an exact death date, so however you can find it would be swell.
He married Clarissa "Clary" (Pollard) Stewart Aug 1809 in Clarke Co, GA. This is recorded in the Court of Ordinary there. In 1820 Clary Newton is listed alone a few doors from a Josiah Newton. I don't know what relation if any Josiah is to Isaac.
Clarissa's prior and first husband had been James Stewart. They married 21 Oct 1782 in Amherst County, Virginia and within two years had relocated to Wilkes Co, Georgia (later became Oglethorpe). They had one daughter Agnes Pollard Stewart who married in 1811 Allen Mosely.
They putatively had two other children: Frederick 1785 and Nancy Malinda 1789, although I have not seen any proof that these persons were their children.
There really was a Nancy Malinda Stewart who came from Wilkes Co, GA and married William Henry Hunt 1809 in Athens, Clarke Co; it just that I have not seen any proof that she was the daughter of James and Clary.
