Millington Scoggin married Mary H. Carter in 1822 in Clarke County, GA. This was Millington's second marriage. Because of that, I am wondering if this was Mary's second marriage. Would anyone know if Carter is a maiden name or a married name? They ended up in Troup County, GA. Since they married in Clarke County, I am hoping Mary's family was in the county and someone will have some knowledge of her.
