Geoge Ray owned land in Clarke co Ga in the early 1800's. Th descrption of the land was in the fork of the north and middle Oconee River. Clarke co Ga was formed before te first land lottery in 1805 so Clarke co Ga did not use the district and land lot number system so it is harder to indntify the exact location of the property. The last land record anyone has found about George Ray in Clarke co Ga was in 1819. I believe he died afte 1819 probablyin he early 1820's. I can not find a will or letters of administration for George Ray. If I caould find who he sold this land to after 1819 or ho he lef it to it would help determine when and wehre George Ray died. George was married to Mary Dearing Ray. I can not find when or where she died either. If anyone cand find a will or letters of administration for George Ray in the 1820's or a land record showing who he left his land to or who he sold it to would be appreaited. Thanks
