Looking for any references to Simon(Simeon) Hobbs and Hester Hill Hobbs in Clay County. They moved here from Sampson County, N.C. circa 1840. They eventually landed in Randolph/Early County and are listed in the household of son Gabriel and Mary Hobbs in the 1850 census. Gabriel is my gggggrandfather. Any information on them is also appreciated.
