Seeking to find the son of Thomas Jefferson Edwards (Jeff) who was born in Ft. Gaines and died in Miami, Fla. in Mar. of 1975. Jeff's father was Thomas Alexander Edwards of Ft. Gaines (1896 - 1924).
Jeff's son (do not know his name) was on the police force in Hattiesburg, Miss. in 1975 and had been in the Navy. He was probably born around 1950. Jeff may have had a daughter also.
Any info regarding this family would be most helpful. Jeff's son (and maybe a daughter) would be the only descendents of my grandmother's sister - Clara Bell Whatley
(1870 - 1950) who married John A. Edwards.
Clara Bell was from Henry Co., Ala. but the family lived in Ft. Gaines from the time of her marriage until her death. The Whatley family is planning a reunion and we would love to be able to find Clara Bell's descendents.
