Hi Everyone,
I am trying to find out if a Cobb County, GA Cemetery Book has ever been published. If so and you own one would you be willing to look for a grave for me? I am trying to find out if my ancestor John Ward died in Cobb County, GA or in what is now Cullman County, AL. I find his family in Cobb County in 1850 but his widow and younger children in Morgan County, AL on the census of 1860. I have been unsuccessful in locating further information on John. I know that he married Isabella Wimms (Weems) in Jackson County, GA in 1819. On the 1820 Census for Jackson County, GA I find living next door to each other a William Ward and a George Wimms who I believe are parents or at least relatives of John and Isabella. These two lines are brick walls for me. I have been searching for ten years. I Know that in Morgan County, AL there was also a Gideon Ward who was born in South Carolina like my John Ward was. I am trying to find information on Gideon also as he may tie in.
