I'm looking for the marriage of James W. VINES to Rachel Ann BAKER sometime before 1870. They are in the 1870 census. The death certificate for daughter Harriett (Hattie) Odell Cogburn indicates she was born in Aug. 26, 1872 in Atlanta Georgia and James and Rachel are her parents. Hattie died in 1947 in Gregg co. Texas.
I'm also interested in an Evans VINES that was in the 1870 census with three children.
All these folks are in the 1880 Gregg co. Texas census.
