Hi Rita,

Yes, Joel Davis was married to Roxanna Kirkland. My G Grandfather was John Davis and my grandmother was his daughter Eula Davis married to Thomas W. Smith in Nicholls area. I know that Joel gave the land for the cemetery at Roxie Mae Church in Wilsonville and is buried there with John and other family memebers. I am trying to join the Sons of Confederate Veterans by confirming Joel Davis's CW military service and my direct lineage. Any info that you have would be greatly appreciated.
