I do so appreciate your giving me the information about S. Marion Griner's being in the 1880 Mitchell Co., GA census! I tried locating the page number through the LDS 1880 Index, but that says, "Cannot be found." I want to look at the surrounding families....I believe that my great-grandmother was this man's 1st cousin. I have never been able to find my great-grandmother in the 1870 nor 1880 census......I have no idea where she was living during the span from 1860 until 1900, after she had married my great-grandfather. Her father, Samuel C. Swilley, who was the next door neighbor of the Griner family in 1860, was living in Berrien Co., GA, in 1880, but his daughter, my great-grandmother, was not with him. When I went to the 1880 Mitchell Co. census, I saw that there were over 400 pages....I just don't have the time right now to search it page by page! I may have to do that one day! And now that I know Senous Marion Griner was there in 1880, I might just have to do it, if I want to find out who were his neighors! Again, I really do appreciate your responding to my message! I guess I should have made it clear in the beginning that I wanted to search for my g-grandmother and thought that finding her kinfolks might help! Sincerely, Janice Notify Administrator about this message?
