The subject couple were married in Columbia Co. and are my ancestors. I'm looking for a record of a male Smith who died there shortly before 1798 whose widow was Ann. I'm also looking for their marriage which occurred BEF 1794, since they had only daughter Patience Smith who got her step-father's permission on 30 Mar 1811 to marry John C. White in Amite Co., MS. John and Ann Kent moved their family in 1808/1809 from Columbia Co. to the Felicianas in the Louisiana territory.

Are there any Columbia Co. Smith researchers out there?
