John Parrish and Sally Phillips are on http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/ twice, one of them a citation from Film or fiche number 0598994, Record of marriages, 1806-1967 Georgia. Court of Ordinary (Columbia County) They married 04 AUG 1819. That means, if it was a first marriage for both, he was about 20 and she about 18, but make it age 16 - 32 for both just to be on the safe side. That makes their birth year (PROBABLY) 1787 - 1803, which helps some. You'd be wasting your time to look for them on the 1880 census, for instance. You can borrow the film from Salt Lake through your local LDS church, through their FHC. There will be a nominal charge, and you have to read it there, not at home. You needn't be a Mormon to use a FHC. They let me in, and I'm not even a Christian. They don't try to convert you, either. The film might have more facts. It might not. Assuming people have children from ages 20 - 40, and Internet users interested in genealogy are 20 - 70 (there are exceptions to all four of those numbers), the earliest year your gr-gr-grandparents could be born would be (70 + 40 + 40 + 40 + 40) = 230 years ago, 1773. The latest year would be (20 + 20 + 20 + 20 + 20) = 100 years ago, 1903. Saying they were your gggp's doesn't really pin it down. Notify Administrator about this message?
