I would be very grateful if someone could possibly perform a look-up for me on a burial at Thomson City Cemetery (in neighboring McDuffie County). Jeremiah James 'Jerry' Toole (died 1877) is buried here and I've seen several references to his tombstone indicating he was a Confederate veteran. I would like to know the CSA military company & regiment listed on his tombstone. If a digital photo could be taken & emailed to me, that would be extremely helpful too. Also, is there a local newspaper that existed in 1877 that might have run an obituary? Any help would be most appreciated.
