Seeking any information on Joseph Cook who was administrator of his father's estate (John Cook) in Wilkes County, Ga. in the 1780's. Later, Joseph owned a piece of property in Washington, GA, and then migrated to Green Co., GA. He purchased land there, and obtained an ARA Land Grant for his deseased relative, Shem Cook. He apparently died without a will in Jasper County in the early 1800's.
Joseph and family apparently migrated from VA to NC, and then to GA from what is now the Snow Creek area of Franklin Co., VA.
