Kathryn Pilgrim late 1950's

In the Monica Woods subdivision, on the western side of Coweta County, not too far from Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, in the backyard of a rental house is a marker for an infant - Kathryn Pilgrim, b. 1957 d. 1958. There doesn't seem to be a grave there; just a marker. But I can't imagine why someone would leave a marker. Likewise, I can't imagine there being a grave in a backyard in the 1950's. I don't find any mention of this child in the Coweta cemetery book, nor of anyone with that surname.

Any thoughts?
Julie O'Neil Perkins
