Dear Patsy, My Walker family came to Crawford some time after 1832 and before 1840..My great grandfather's sister married Alexander Wells in 1844. She was Margaret Walker and she died before 1860. Some time later Alexander married Minty McGinty. Alexander was born in New Hanover NC, and his father may have been Jacob Wells. I hope this helps. Joe
