Hello, I'm also working on the Dickson lines in Bibb and Crawford Counties in Georgia. Don't be too confused by the spelling, it's all the same family I think, and I've seen two brothers on the same census page where one's name was spelled Dickson and the other spelled Dixon. I've traced my John Dickson back to Bibb Co., where he lived near and was likely asscociated with Robert, Josiah, Thomas and Benjamin Dickson, with all but Benjamin living on the Bibb Co. side of the county line. The Dixon United Methodist Church is believed to have been founded by these men, but I'm still working at gathering data to prove that. My John Dickson is recorded by most researchers as John "Barnett" Dickson, and to be the son of a Michael Dickson, Jr. whose ancestry is documented. However, I can't find one bit of proof for that, and the census records seem to link him to this Robert Dickson in Bibb Co. who is buried in the Dixon UMC Cemetery. His stone states he was born 1760 and died 1837, and that he was a Pvt. in NC Militia, Rev. War. Georgia records show he drew lands in 1806 because he was a veteran. Perhaps your Sarah was related to some of these men. If I find anything for certian I will pass it on. Diana Notify Administrator about this message?
