In 1825, an Edward and a Nathaniel Perry are shown as Tax Defaulters of 1 poll each in Capt. Blount's Dist. in Jones County. At the same time in the 1825 poll records, there was a William Perry (also 1 poll) who also lived in Capt. Blount's Dist. - shown at the time as holding 727 1/2 acres in Jones, 202 1/2 acres in Crawford, 101 1/2 acres in Monroe Co, and 500 acres in Early Co. GA. And I need to learn more about how these families inter-relate and about the lines they married into. Does anyone know more about any of these Perry families? - I hope someone can help me untangle them and their relationship to each other. The Jones Co. William Perry's descendants moved on to farm land in the other GA counties where their father held land, intermarried with other surnames, including the Green or Greene, Holliman (also spelled Holloman Holleman Hollomon, Hollimon, etc.) and Copeland (Copland Coplan), and related families. Then descendants moved on to AL and other westward States. William Perry's son John G. Perry married Cassandra Holliman, daughter of Eaton Hollimon (various spellings) and Sarah Dixon/Dickson. They were married 5 May 1831, in Crawford Co. GA. Is anyone researching any of these families - do you recognize any of these names? I would like to join forces with anyone researching any of these lines. Or if you've seen something about any of them while doing your own research, I would be grateful for any tips.
