Gene, Mount Paran Baptist Church and cemetery is still there but the name of the church last I heard had become Bethany Bible Church, an interdominational church. It may have yet another name by now. I have a number of ancestors buried there but not a Newsom. I cannot tell you where any particular grave is as it has been years since I was there. I do have a notation about Henry Newsom. In 1854 Mt. Paran appointed him and another man, George Brown, to inform Thornberry Green that he had been recognized as an ordained deacon. T. Green is my ancestor. You should not have trouble finding the cemetery as it is directly on US Highway 80 on the north side of the highway. Good luck. Beverly Moxley
