James Ketcherside, who was born abt. 1800, most probably in Rutherford, NC was married to a woman whose maiden name could have been spelled: Scarborough, Scarberry, Scarbury, Scarboro.
This woman's first name may have been: Genette, Jeanette, Janet, Juanita or another variation. She was my 3x Great Grandmother and our family has no information regarding her birthplace, parents or siblings.
Genette (Jeanette, etc.) was born between 1801-1810. She died on December 26, 1844 in Dade County, Georgia after giving birth to my 2x Great Grandmother, Nancy Jane Ketcherside.
Any help would be appreciated in determining who Genette (or possibly Juanita, Jeanette, Janet) Scarborough, Scarboro, Scarberry, Scarbury was and who her parents were.
Perhaps Genette's family was from TN, NC or GA, as that is where the Ketcherside family also lived. I hope to hear from someone about my mystery Great, Great, Great Grandmother!
