A book published last year "Cemeteries of Dawson Cty, GA" has the following listing: New Bethel Baptist (this church and cemeteryare located in the eastern part of the cty on S.R. 136 approx. 1.4 mi. southeast of the intersection of S.R. 136 and S.R. 9. The church was established in 1869. The survey was begun in the northwest corner of the cemetery.)
