Wow! Thank you so much. I wish I had known about my ancestors being from the Dawson area when I lived in Georgia. At that time I was young, in the military, and not really interested.
My ggg father is William Jordan Kelley, son of John and Francis. I have been able to find most of William Jordan Kelley’s descendents who primarily live in Oklahoma, Texas, and Alabama. I live in Texas now. I did run across a 1998 post on Geocites from a Kelley in IA yesterday that indicated Rachel Kelley’s maiden name was Darnel. Not sourced though.
Would you happen to know if Pollard Kelley, b. abt 1823 SC might be related to William Kelley? We think he may be as we have other Pollards in the family.
