Cousin Betty, this is nothing short of amazing. I’ve got a few stories I can share with you. My email is semperfi@aircanopy.net. If you’d like I can send you a ged file or a descendents list.

William J Kelley’s son John Robinson Kelley is my great grand father. That is our people in the Alabama census. John Robinson left Alabama when he was 18 and eventually settled in Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma. There’s quite a story about how all that came about. Another cousin, Mickey Kelley(AL) related a family first hand account to me.

In Texas I know of cousins in the Dallas/Ft worth, Killeen, and Tyler areas. We live in Red Oak. Every 4th of July weekend cousin Dixie Kelley organizes a Kelley-Satterfield family reunion near Shawnee, OK.

I did see in later census that William Kelley, Sr. listed his parents as being from VA.

Contact me by email and I’ll tell you some wild stories of which most are supposed to be true.
