Bruton/Brewton DNA Study

Hello all,

We and a group of Brewton/Bruton researchers are conducting a DNA study, to try to determine how the five Bruton families in the colonial Carolinas were related, and to determine from where they came in Europe.

One of the early Brutons in our family was John Bruton, born in the late 1740s in North Carolna. He and his wife, Jeanette Griffin, moved to Georgia during the Revolution, and in later life moved to southwest Georgia, living in Decatur and Early Counties. We are seeking male descendants of John Bruton to take the DNA test with us.

For more details on our study, please visit our webpage at:

http://www.familytreedna.com/surname_join.asp?code=E65408&special=true

If you have questions, comments, or suggestions to help us locate male descendants of John Bruton, please contact us. Thanks!
